Hi, I’m Ann!
That’s me in the picture with baby Jamiel and Jassen. Jarell, my eldest is out in the water getting himself burned under the midday sun. My husband, Jun is underwater checking out the corals. The pic’s taken in a little fishing village called Tambobong located at the tip of Dasol, Pangasinan facing the South China Sea.
Enough about the photo. A little about me in relation to this blog below.
I’m no professional finance person. What I know about money I learned along the way – through trials and errors. Now I’ve come to realize you can be rich without being wealthy. I live the life I want so I am rich!
It took me awhile to realize what financial freedom is all about. I naively thought at first that it’s about never having to worry about money. Now I know better. I have financial worries, all right (who does’nt have nowadays!). I have lots of those, really. But the thing is I have enough (or I save if I don’t) to do the things I care most about.
I like to travel. I like to experience new things, visit new places and meet interesting people. To observe or take part in a way of life different from mine is something that gives me a lift.
So now I travel every chance I get. It does cost money but there are ways and means to do so without really hurting your budget. You’d be surprised how much you could save by cutting back on things you just take for granted.
My life is far from perfect. But what is perfect but a pigment of our imagination. I am on a journey towards living a life of many memories. A life I will be glad to look back to when I’m old and the years have caught up with me. What is certain in this life is that someday I’ll get old and my meandering everywhere I fancy would no longer be possible. And so my journey starts now.

i love your new project…it’s very refreshing. i ‘was on it’ on a very gloomy day, in one of my gloomy days.
slowly, im trying to tighten my pockets, for the kids and for law school. ive learned so much from you before, i know i’ll learn more here….

glad to have you here at piggybanklife. just wanted to tell you that you’re one of the many people who has inspired me to finally launch this blog.
i, too, have learned a lot from you. foremost of which is your gift of thoughtfulness that is a rarity nowadays.
i am truly glad and very excited about your law schooling. promise me you’ll see it to the end and let me be there with you when you hold in your hands your law degree diploma.
i know it’s quite financially taxing but hang in there and visit often there might be something here that could be of help to you.
